52 Fridays – #1. Alabama

an art tour of the 50 states

In the spirit of love and support of artists everywhere, Mish Mash Make is launching a new (year long!) series – “52 Fridays“.  Each Friday, I’ll curate a 10 piece show from one state in the good ol’ US of A. And they’re in alphabetical order, y’all!   Which states will be the most artsy?  Which will have the most unusual art?  We’ll find out…

Oh, and if you’re wondering where the extra 2 Fridays are coming from, I’m scooping up DC, Puerto Rico and Guam. 🙂  With no further ado…  Alabama!!

    • Janet, so glad to have found your art! I can’t tell you how much I love your aesthetic of a rustic and modern mix. You two really have an eye (or eyes) for beauty. I’m very glad to be able to share your work with a few more folks!

    • Aren’t those cool? I love them too. And KG, I will not forget that you are from Maine! 🙂 I’ve already been thinking my “M’s”…

  1. Loved this post. Alabama is one of my most favorite southern states for its nature, but now I love it more for the its creativity! (Wish I had the chance to go to Doo Nanny…) I cannot wait to read (see) more of the so many arts that American states have to offer on your blog!

    • Oh, Midori! Let’s rent a giant silver Airstream trailer and go on a tour! (Well, at least we can imagine that we’re doing that…). Next year I’d like to do 52 countries – you’ll have to help me with Japan. 🙂

    • Thanks, Theresa! I am really looking forward to my virtual art vacation as well. 🙂 Let me know if you have any suggestions!
